EXTRACT FROM OUR SUBMISSION

In December 2015, WestBridge sold Aero Stanrew to TT Electronics plc for £42m. The deal achieved a 4.4x multiple return for WestBridge investors and a four year IRR of 48%.

Since backing the management buyout at Aero Stanrew in February 2012, revenues and profitability more than doubled to £18m. Employee numbers increased by 50% and the company received many industry awards and plaudits, including the Queens Award for Enterprise.

The success of this transaction, which consistently performed a year ahead of plan, epitomises our approach to investment, which is very much about providing finance, developing management teams and providing other tangible support throughout the life of our investment.

Our philosophy of working closely with management teams and nurturing mutually rewarding relationships helps maximise growth opportunities for all stakeholders.

Clive Scott, who led the Aero Stanrew MBO in 2012 and remains as chief executive officer, commented:

"We have enjoyed working with the team at WestBridge Capital. They proved to be a very supportive partner with a real understanding of the challenges that faced a growing business and a practical approach to adding value during the journey.”

These hotly contested awards are the most prestigious in the sector and the organisers say they have received an unprecedented number of submissions this year, which makes us especially proud.

Please do support us. Thank you.
