THE much anticipated shortlist for the British Private Equity Awards has been announced and WestBridge Capital has made the final cut in the Small Buyout House category.
Supported by leading trade publication Unquote, the hotly contested awards feature eighteen categories and recognise innovation, resilience and excellence in the private equity industry.
The shortlist has been compiled by a distinguished judging panel that includes Mark Florman, chief executive of British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA); John Holloway, director of European Investment Fund and David Petrie, head of corporate finance at ICAEW.
The organisers have stated that an unprecedented number of submissions was received this year.
Winners will be announced at a black tie dinner on 4 October.
WestBridge Capital partner Guy Davies said:
“We are quietly thrilled, especially coming so soon after our win in the Insider Dealmakers Awards.
“Everyone in our industry recognises the British Private Equity Awards as a real sign of achievement. Just to be shortlisted is a real achievement.
“We have had quite a year one way and another. After a period of sheer grit and determination, we succeeded in raising a fund of £30 million which we have already started investing in established and ambitious SMEs keen to grow.”
